Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 5 2018/19

This Friday we welcome Andy Polakowski DPAGB, EFIAP/b, GPU-Cr2, BPE4* for a return visit from Mold when he will show some interesting pictures!

Calvin will lead the Learner Hour from 6.45pm

On Friday 2 November we welcome Scott Latham to Wrekin Arts for his first visit. Scott is a wildlife photographer and his lecture is titled “From Plains to Jungle”

The Learner Hour session this week will be about Brushes and Masks in Photoshop.

Friday 2 November is also the hand in night for the 1st Merit Print Competition when you can enter up to 3 images in each of the Mono and Colour sections of your appropriate level. Please read the rules on the competitions link http://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides/ If you’re going to enter the Landscape and Natural History competitions later in the season then don’t forget that images for these 2 competitions must not have been entered into any of the earlier merit competitions. Please also submit online digital images of your entry through the link in the previous sentence.

On Sunday 28 October the club will participate in the PAGB Inter-Club Print Championship at Blackburn. We wish them luck.

Meeting Cancellation 2 March 2018

There’s heavy snow forecast overnight and into tomorrow and we’ve taken the decision to cancel tomorrow night’s meeting (2 March) which is the third merit PDI competition.

This competition will be rearranged and I’ll let you know the new date as soon as we can agree it with the judge.
