Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 16 2017/18 20 March 2018

This Friday we welcome Margaret Salisbury FRPS, APAGB, MFIAP, FIPF (Supported by Fotospeed) with her talk “Lucky Dragon”

Friday is also the hand in night for the Landscape Competition. As explained in the email sent on 18 March please submit your PDI and Print entries via the online system http://www.photocompentries.net/?org=WrekinClub and also email your PDI images and print titles to Sheila at wrekinartspc@gmail.com

There won’t be a meeting next Friday 30 March (Good Friday) So the next meeting will be on Friday 6 April when Richard Spiers DPAGB, APAGB, BPE2* will judge the Landscape Competition.

Starting on Saturday 24 March there is a series of exhibitions, events and talks with Paul Hill and Maria Falconer at the Photography Place in Ludlow http://www.thephotospace.co.uk/en/page_17433.html The season starts with an exhibition of images of Ludlow in the 1960s.

Severn Valley Railway has an extra special treat on 24, 25, 31 March and 1 and 2 April when all trains will be steam hauled http://www.svr.co.uk/NewsItem.aspx?a=829 

Finally, a date for your diaries. The MCPF Print and PDI Championships take place at Leicester on Saturday 21 April when clubs from the Midlands will be chosen to represent the MCPF in the PAGB PDI and Print Championships later in the year. Tickets for the Leicester event will be £7 each and available later.
