On Saturday 9 June the Club will have a stall at the Wellington Midsummer Fayre http://www.wellington-shropshire.gov.uk/event/wellington-midsummer-fayre/  in All Saints Churchyard, Wellington. This is an opportunity for you to display and sell some great images and for the club to recruit new members. If you have prints you would like to sell please let Tony have them by 1 June. There will be a small commission payable to the club for each print sold. We’re also looking for help to erect and dismantle the stall and to talk to the public during the day.

The club is participating in the PAGB Digital Image Championship at Warwick University Arts Centre on Saturday 14 July starting at 1015am. There will be 38 clubs competing - 2 from each of the 15 Federations across the UK plus the 8 top placed clubs from the 2017 championships. Competition will be intense so if you want to come and support the club, order your tickets from Tony as soon as possible. Price is £10 each (non-refundable) The venue is outstanding. There is a 550 seat tiered theatre giving unrestricted views of all the images, bar and catering facilities in the building and free car parking.

We’re getting towards the end of the programme now and all club members and their partners are invited to the Annual Awards Presentation Evening at the Ramada Hotel, Telford http://www.ramadatelford.co.uk/contact-us/getting-here/ on Saturday 28 July. Tickets are £25 each.  Please let Sheila know your meal choices and ensure that you pay before the evening.  If you have any special dietary requirements please let Sheila know as soon as possible.

If you won a trophy last year, please return it to Tony (cleaned) so it can be engraved with the new competition winner before 28 July.

Finally, Jon & Sue Baker have been speaking about a proposed development at Mortimer Forest. Jon says,” The Forestry Commission is trying to build 65 Holiday Cabins complete with toilet block, car park and play area in the beautiful Mortimer Forest. Sue and I have been visiting here for over 30 years and it is an oasis of peace, tranquillity and wildlife. All this would disappear. Please take a look at www.save-mortimer-forest.co.uk and if you wish, sign the petition. Our wild places must be saved for future generations.”
