Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 2 2024/25

After last week’s successful Opening Night, the season continues with a "Bring and Buy Evening" this Friday 27 September  This is an opportunity for you to bring photographic kit and accessories that you no longer want. Please label your items and add a suggested price. It’s not expected that the Bring and Buy will last all evening so there will be a member presentation after the tea break.

Friday 27 September is also the hand in night for the First Merit PDI competition. Members are able to enter up to 3 images in their particular class. Image size is a maximum of 1050 pixels vertically and 1400 pixels horizontally. Information on Competition Rules, preparing your image for club competitions and a link to the online entry system can be found at https://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides There’s also an easy to follow video on image preparation on the same site.

Don’t forget, you can only enter competitions if you are a fully paid up member. The new fees are: Single Membership £40; Joint Membership £60; OAP £35; Joint OAP £55. The weekly fee will be £4 or £5 for a non member but this will include a hot drink.

The weekly door fee can be paid quarterly in advance. The first one is for 12 weeks from 27 September to 13 December costing £48. Fees will be carried over if you don’t attend a meeting.

On Friday 4 October, Bob Goode will judge the First Merit PDI Competition.
