This Friday at 7.30pm, the online Natural History PDI competition will be judged by Duncan Armour DPAGB

Next Friday 3 June, is the first day of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday so there won’t be a meeting that night.

The next online meeting will be Friday 10 June when Mike Martin EFIAP, AWPF https://www.mikemartinphotography.co.uk presents “Stairway to Heaven”. Friday 10 June is also the handing date for the 4th Merit PDI Competition https://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides. Lloyd Moore DPAGB, BPE4*, AFIAP https://purpleport.com/portfolio/lloyd/ will judge the competition on 17 June.

On 4 June the club will have a stand at Wellington Midsummer Fayre and Queen’s Jubilee Celebration https://www.wellington-shropshire.gov.uk/event/wellington-midsummer-fair-queens-jubilee-celebration/ in Wellington Parish Church Grounds between 10am and 4pm. Tony is looking for prints that can be displayed here and also help with erecting the gazebo and providing assistance during the day. Norman reports on the club’s success at the MCPF Print Championships held at Burton-on-Trent on 22 May. The club came fourth overall after Arden, Smethwick and Chapter 6 and now qualifies for the PAGB Print Finals to be held in Blackburn in October. Congratulations goes to Roger who won the Best Mono Award with “Night Flight.” Calvin has added all the club’s entries onto the website and they can be seen at https://wrekinartspc.com/specific-news-items/2022/5/24/another-great-success-for-the-club-at-the-mcpf-print-qualifiers

Finally, Church Stretton Arts Festival Exhibition https://strettonfestival.org.uk/exhibition-exhibitors/ returns this year. Registration to enter is now open until 30 June
