Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 2 2019/20 27 August 2019

The new club season starts this Friday 30 August at 8pm with the annual social evening and exhibition of member’s work. The exhibition will be opened by Cllr Anthony Lowe, Mayor of Wellington.

On Friday 6 September we welcome Jenny Hibbert MPAGB, EFIAP, AWPF to the club for the first time with her talk “Migratory Expedition in Mongolia” Jenny is from Bridgend Camera Club http://www.bridgendcameraclub.co.uk/index.html and her illustrated lecture describes a year in the life of a group of Mongolian people travelling from summer to winter pastures.

The Learner hour restarts this week at 6.45pm when Calvin will lead a critique of holiday images followed by a discussion on future subjects.

The British Wildlife Photography Awards Exhibition https://www.bwpawards.org is at Jackfield Tile Museum https://www.ironbridge.org.uk/events/family-events/british-wildlife-photography-awards-exhibition/ until 12 September. This exhibition features the winners and commended entries from the 2018 British Wildlife Photography Awards.

Finally, the club will represent the Midland Counties Photographic Federation (MCPF) at the PAGB Inter-Club print championships http://www.thepagb.org.uk/competitions/inter-club-print/ at The Croston Theatre, Westholme School, Blackburn on Sunday 27 October at 10am.
