Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 6 2019/20 22 October 2019

This Friday we hold the mobile device and the “colour blue” themed competitions. Both will be judged by club members.

There isn’t a leaners’ hour session this Friday nor for the following 2 weeks. The learner’s hour resumes on Friday 15 November.

On Friday 1 November our own Roger Evans MPAGB, FBPE, EFIAP/s presents, “Shooting the Commonwealth Games, Gold Coast 2018.” You’ve seen some of Roger’s sports images in our internal competitions. Be prepared for a wide variety of fabulous sports images!

Friday 1 November is also the hand in night for the 1st Merit Print competition. You can enter up to 3 colour and 3 mono images in your particular section. The inter club print competition takes place at Blackburn this Sunday, 27 October. Our club represents the MCPF. If you’ve not bought a ticket yet and would like to attend then they’re available until 25 October at https://pagbhost.co.uk/main/main.php

Congratulations to Sharon who has recently been awarded a Licentiate of the RPS. http://rps.org Sharon produced a panel of 10 prints including flower art, landscape, still life and a portrait of the dog! The RPS have retained the panel for showing at advisory days so you can’t see it just yet.

Finally, Ed Philip’s exhibition http://www.thephotospace.co.uk/en/page_20448.html at The Photo Space in Ludlow http://www.thephotospace.co.uk/en/page_16656.html had a very successful opening last Saturday. The exhibition runs until Saturday 23 November and is situated in the second gallery which is on the ground floor. You don’t have to climb the steep winding staircase to see it! Gallery opening times Wednesday to Saturday 1030 to 1630.
