This Friday Louise Hill MPAGB, LRPS from Smethwick Photographic Society will judge the finals night mono competition. There is no learners group this week.
Next Friday, 8 July there will be an extra session to this year’s programme. Tony Thomas and Bob Underhill from Smethwick will present a print lecture showing work of the late Colin Thompson FRPS from Belfast. Colin has been to the club a couple of times and has also judged our Salon. I’m sure that many of you are familiar with his work, so if you are interested please make sure that you attend. This will be the only opportunity to see these prints.
The club room will be open every Friday during the summer holidays when you can come along and join in the general conversation about photography. Nothing is planned at this stage but you may well pick up some tips! Keep your eye on the website www.wrekinartspc.com for any developments during the break.
The Club Annual Awards Dinner will be held at The Ramada Hotel, Telford, TF3 4NA on Saturday 23 July when all members and their partners are invited to come along and meet other members in a relaxed atmosphere. This dinner is for everyone and not just the award winners. The menu is attached and you will see that it is a full 3 course menu plus coffee or tea and mints to finish. The price is £20.50 per person. The club and Salon have used this venue now for the past 3 years and each time we’ve been impressed by the quality of the food. Please let Sheila have your menu choices wrekinartspc@gmail.com as soon as possible along with the full cost as. Sheila doesn’t want to be collecting money on the night.
