This Friday the Colour Prints Finals Night Competition will be judged by Chris Palmer FRPS, EFIAP, DPAGB, APAGB http://www.chrispalmerphotographer.co.uk The learner session will start as usual at 6.45pm and this will be the final event of the season. Calvin may organise outings over the summer if there is sufficient interest and details will be published on the website.
The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 24 June at the club room starting at 8pm. Please make every effort to attend and show your support for the club and its committee. If you think that you would like to support the club in a practical way then speak to one of the committee members beforehand. Friday 24 June is also the hand in night for the finals night mono print competition so please bring your prints along to the AGM and register them online using the link from this page http://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides/ You can enter up to 5 prints in this finals competition but you must have entered at least 2 mono merit print competitions during the year.
Landscape Photographer of the Year competition http://www.take-a-view.co.uk is open for entries until 10 July. Photographs must be of the British Landscape and you can enter up to 25 photographs across 4 categories. The prize fund is worth £20,000 with a first prize of £10,000. Entry fees apply and full terms and conditions can be found on the website.
The PAGB Inter-Club PDI Championship http://www.thepagb.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/warwick_2016_tickets.pdf will be held at The Arts Centre, University of Warwick, Coventry on Saturday 16 starting at 1015am. Our club secured a place in these finals and all members are invited to come along and support the club. Tickets are £10 each via the link above.
Finally, a date for your diary. The Club Annual Awards Dinner will be held at The Ramada Hotel, Telford, TF3 4NA on Saturday 23 July when all members and their partners are invited to come along and meet other members in a relaxed atmosphere. Full menu and costs will be available later. If you won a trophy last year then please return it to Tony by 24 June.
