This Friday, Paul Hassell FRPS, MPAGB, FBPE, FIPF makes a welcome return to the club with his print lecture “The Journey Continues.”This is a follow-on from the first talk and Paul says, I am well under way with my photography and have started to make traction with more techniques both in camera and in Photoshop. We will look at a number of genres including people, still life, environmental portraiture and a few others. My style of photography is quite directive and I will talk through my successful FRPS travel panel which was gained through trips to Romania.”

On Friday 13 December we have a Zoom Talk in the club room at 7.30pm with Simon Turnbull FRPS - “How to be Original.” https://www.simonturnbullphotography.com It’s a talk on creativity, looking at ways in which you can develop your own “voice” in what can seem like a crowded photography world. Simon says, “We’ll discuss my steps to creativity and then look at a number of techniques to develop your own photography in new and exciting ways.”

The final meeting of 2024 is on Friday 20 December when the clubroom will be open for a Christmas get together. Please bring some drinks and nibbles.

The club reconvenes on Friday 10 January 2025 with the 2nd Merit PDI Competition. Hand in night for this competition is Friday 3 January 2025 but you will find the online entry system open now.
