Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 6 2024/25 19 November 2024

This Friday, Norman will run a session using the PC, printer and mount cutter that was bequeathed to the club by Irene Froy. It’s aimed at those members who are unable to print and mount their own photos. The idea is that it will encourage more people to enter Print Competitions. Please come along and learn from Norman.

There will also be a “Table Top” photo session for those who don’t want to use the Print facilities. The club will provide the lights and a limited number of props. Feel free to bring anything to photograph on the night.

So far, we don’t have anything planned for Friday 29 November. Steve did send out a message on the WhatsApp group last Thursday asking for suggestions. Let Steve know what you would like to do. Don’t be shy!

Events for 6 and 13 December are posted on the website https://wrekinartspc.com The event on 13 December is the last of the year. Maybe we could bring some nibbles to enjoy that night.

The Birmingham Christmas Market https://visitbirmingham.com/event/birmingham-frankfurt-christmas-market/132332101/ is open and runs up to Christmas Eve. Maybe an event to get some “people” shots. There’s also Ice Skating, a Ferris Wheel and FunFair in Centenary Square.

A little closer to home, Telford Christmas Market https://www.visittelford.co.uk/whats-on/telford-christmas-market-p1447151 is open in Southwater, but it’s not quite on the same scale as the Birmingham Market!
