his Friday we welcome Malcolm Hupman https://www.hupman.info from Corby for an online talk “An Australasian Adventure and its’ Wildlife” This talk is about the Wildlife and Landscapes from a 10,000km road trip and a cruise to Australasia. Doors will open at 7.15pm and the talk starts at 7.30pm

Friday 12 November is also the hand in night for the 1st Merit PDI competition. Only members who have paid their fees will be eligible to enter. You can enter up to 4 images. Please number your entries as the 4th entry may be removed if there are too many for the judge to deal with. Peter Wells ARPS, CPAGB, BPE3*, EFIAP from Wakefield Camera Club https://www.wakefieldcameraclub.org.uk will judge the 1st Merit PDI competition online on Friday 19 November at 7.30pm

It’s Remembrance Day on Thursday and, as a tribute, The Imperial War Museum in Manchester https://www.iwm.org.uk/events/poppies opens a new installation of Poppies hand crafted from clay and re-imagined in a dramatic sculptural form. The exhibition was first seen at The Tower of London in 2018. It has toured the country and now has a permanent home in Manchester.

On a lighter note, The Wales Comic Con https://www.walescomiccon.com returns to Telford International Centre the weekend of 20/21 November.

Finally, “World Water Day Photo Contest” https://worldwaterday.it/en/contest/rules/ is running a competition in conjunction with UN Water to raise funds to bring drinking water to communities who need water to live.
