The 2020/21 season was due to start on 4 September but with the current Coronavirus restrictions we are unable to have physical meetings for the foreseeable future. The committee met virtually last night and decided to experiment with Zoom meetings starting on Friday 11 September at 8pm when Calvin will give an illustrated talk on his recent visit to Ethiopia. Zoom meetings will be held every 2 weeks the next one being on 25 September. If anyone fancies giving a talk on that night, please contact Calvin calvin.downes@btinternet.com

We will consider inviting external speakers and having competitions later in the year depending on the practicalities of hosting Zoom meetings. Calvin will send out invitations to join the Zoom meeting on 11 September together with instructions to help anyone who is unfamiliar with this software.

I hope that everyone will be able to take part in the meeting on 11 September and look forward to seeing you all again after 6 months without any club meetings.
