This Friday, Chris Palmer FRPS, EFIAP, DPAGB, APAGB http://www.chrispalmerphotographer.co.uk/home from Amersham Photographic Society will judge the Finals night Print Competition.

Calvin will lead the Learner Hour at 6.45pm with a visit to a local photographic location. Calvin will update those interested later in the week

Next Friday, 30 June is the club’s AGM. I hope that many of you will be able to attend. If you want to get involved in running the club then think about putting your name forward as a committee member. You never know where it might lead!

The AGM is the last formal event of the club season but the room will still be open on Friday nights when you can come along and chat about any subject.

The Club’s Annual Awards Evening will be at the Ramada Hotel in Telford Town Centre on Saturday 8 July at 7pm for 7,30pm. Despite the title, this event is for all club members and their partners, not just those who’ve won awards. Tickets are £22.50 each for a 3 course meal and includes tea or coffee at the end of the evening. The menu is enclosed. Please let Sheila have your meal choice as soon as possible together with the full amount. This allows Sheila to enjoy her meal and not worry about collecting money on the night!

If you were one of the award winners last year, please bring your freshly polished trophy to the club room on Friday night so that Tony can get the new award winner’s name engraved before the dinner.

On Sunday 2 July the 2017l Exhibition of the London Salon can be seen at Smethwick Photographic Society between 1030am and 4pm. The London Salon showing at the club on 19 May was digital images of last year’s exhibition. This year Irene is showing 2 prints by virtue of her membership of the Salon and Calvin has 1 print accepted. Well done Calvin!

Finally, Severn Valley Railway is running 1940’s weekends http://www.svr.co.uk/SEItem.aspx?a=49 on 24 and 25 June & 1 and 2 July. Events are taking place at all stations on the line and full details and ticket prices are listed on the link.
