This Friday we welcome John Hooton FIPF, FRPS, MFIAP https://www.john-hooton.com (supported by Permajet) from the Dingle Peninsula, Ireland with more of his outstanding landscape images. John will bring books of his landscapes with him for sale and they are £25 each. Cash only.

In the Learner Hour, Calvin will show a training video about using Lightroom and Photoshop. Talking of Lightroom, you’re probably aware that there are now 2 versions of Lightroom available on the Creative Cloud subscription . On 3 November, Derek Doar DPAGB http://www.ddimages.co.uk/index.html (supported by Fotospeed) brings his lecture “Shared Moments” when Derek will give lots of helpful tips to help improve your photography.

Calvin will continue with the Photoshop theme from last week with a talk about brushes and masks.

Friday 3 November is also the hand in night for the 1st Merit Print Competition when you can submit up to 3 prints in each of the colour and monochrome sections in your class. If you need further clarification then please speak to a committee member at the club this Friday.

If you’ve entered either the PAGB Masters of Print Competition or Smethwick International Exhibition online then bring your prints on Friday night for Irene and Janet respectively.

Finally, Blists Hill Museum https://www.ironbridge.org.uk/events/ will be hosting a Halloween Night on 28 October and a Fireworks Night on 4 November while the “Ultimate Stance” car event https://www.ultimate-stance.co.uk will be at the Telford International Centre http://www.theinternationalcentretelford.com on Sunday 5 November.
