This Friday John Haines judges the first merit PDI competition. It’s also the hand in night for mobile PDI competition where you can submit images taken on a smartphone or tablet. Calvin is demonstrating Adjustment Layers in the Learner Hour. If you need to brush up your Photoshop skills then feel free to come along - the Learner Hour is open to any member.
On Friday 20 October members will judge the Mobile PDI competition and winners will be given by consensus on the night. Calvin will talk about types and use of filters in the Learner Hour. This is a practical evening so bring your camera to see how filters work.
PAGB Masters of Print competition is now underway http://www.thepagb.org.uk/competitions/pagb-masters-of-print/ with an online closing date of 21 October. Each entrant can submit up to 5 unmounted A3 prints shared between Monochrome, Colour and Nature sections at a cost of £10 per entrant. If you want to enter, Irene will collect your prints at John Hooton’s lecture on 27 October and take them to Blackburn thus saving postage. Please remember to register online by 21 October.
