Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 17/2014-15 21 April 2015

This Friday, Ralph Duckett MPAGB, EFIAP, APAGB from Burton on Trent Photographic Society http://www.burtonps.co.uk/index.html judges both prints and pdis in our Landscape Competition.

On Friday 1 May Russell and Audrey Price, 2 of our own well travelled club members, present “A Passion for Wildlife” showing wildlife images from both home and abroad. Come and support Russell and Audrey and get some inspiration for your own wildlife shots. Friday 1 May is also the hand in night for the Natural History Competition – both print and pdi. If you’re unsure of the rules then look at them online http://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides/ You will also find links for sizing and submitting pdi images, a glossary of Photographic Distinctions together with information about National and International Photographic bodies on this page.

Church Stretton Arts Festival is now open for entries until 30 June. Go to http://www.strettonfestival.org.uk/information-for-artists/ for a wealth of information on the competition and the venues for the exhibition in Church Stretton between 25 July and 8 August.

Members now have the opportunity to display their images in the Members Gallery on the Club Website. You can display up to 20 images. Why not start your page with just 3 or 4 images and then increase numbers later. Full details on preparing and displaying images can be found at - Guide for creating/obtaining Website Member's Gallery

Keep your eye on the News section of the website http://wrekinartspc.com/specific-news-items-index/ New information is added on a regular basis. This is the place to find members who are visiting locations around the country. If you would like to invite members to go with you on a trip, then ask Calvin calvin.downes@btinternet.com to post information on the website.

And finally, if you were unable to go to the MidPhot Exhibition then you can see a selection of the award winning images and participants receiving their awards at http://www.mcpf.co.uk/midphotnewsletterspecialprintonly.pdf See how many Wrekin members you can spot!
