This Friday, Michael Krier ARPS, MA Photography from Cheltenham Camera Club http://www.cheltenhamcameraclub.co.uk/Gallery/index.aspx judges the first merit print competition. In the learner’s hour this week, starting at 6.45pm, Tony will give some hints and tips with Composition Techniques.
The following week, Friday 4 December, our own Irene Froy MPAGB, Hon. PAGB, EFIAPhttp://www.irenefroy.com/ supported by Permajet presents her new print lecture “The Seeing Eye” Irene is well known for her pastel images and I’m sure we will see more of them tonight. Irene is a stalwart of the club and shares her pastel technique through a series of one day seminars at the club room. The next one is on Sunday 24 April 2016. In the learner’s hour, Calvin and Peter (Howsam) will talk on Camera Settings and Effects.
Judging at the Wrekin Salon is now complete and all entrants should have received their results. You can see the complete lists of awards and acceptances in all classes online at www.wrekinarts.com This year, Wrekin Club Medals were awarded to Tony Thomas in the colour section; Calvin Downes in the mono section; Audrey Price in the Nature section and to Steve Barber in the Travel section. Steve also won the Industrial Heritage Medal.
Jon is busy producing the AV presentations for the Salon awards day at The Belfrey Theatre on Saturday 16 January 2016 starting at 2pm. If you’re unable to make that day then you can see the presentations at the club room from Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 January starting at 8pm.
