This Friday we welcome Wayne Brittle from Burton-on-Trent  https://www.waynebrittlephotography.com/index.html with his lecture “Another Time, Another Place.” Wayne is an accomplished Landscape Photographer and I’m sure that we will see some excellent work on Friday night. Wayne is also an ambassador for NiSi filters.

There is no Learner Hour this week but it recommences next week, Friday 22 March at 6.45pm

On Friday 22 March, Bob Dennis CPAGB, APAGB, AFIAP, BPE4* returns with the Bebington Salon 2018.

Friday 22 March is also the hand in night for the Landscape Competition. There are 2 sections - print and PDI - and you can submit up to 3 images in each category. Please note that all work must be new and not have been entered in any previous club competition. Full rules and a link to the online entry system is at http://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides John Hartshorne is unable to judge the competition on 29 March and will be replaced by Claire Carter http://www.carterart.co.uk/home If you recall, Claire showed us her landscape images at the end of last year.

Congratulations go to Ed who won “The People’s Choice” in the Ludlow Seven 2019 at The PhotoSpace Ludlow http://www.thephotospace.co.uk/fr/accueil.html Ed’s prize is a solo exhibition at The Photo Space. I’ll post the dates of that exhibition when they are available.

Finally, The MCPF Print and PDI Championships will be held at Braunstone Civic Centre, Kingsway, Leicester, LE3 2PP on Saturday 13 April. Tony is looking for work for entry into the competition. Last year the club came 4th in the print championships and 3rd in the PDI championship and represented MCPF in the National PAGB championships later in the year. We’re hoping to do the same again this year! If you want to attend the event then tickets are £7 each. Please let Tony know as soon as possible if you’re able to attend.
