On Friday 25 May Stephen Elliot http://www.stephenelliottphotography.co.uk will present his lecture “Peak District Light.” Stephen is a well known landscape photographer and will demonstrate the use of filters in the Landscape.

Friday 25 May is also the hand in night for the 4th Merit Print competition. Please submit copies of your entry online at http://wrekinartspc.com/competition-links-organisations-and-club-guides/ You can enter up to 3 prints in each of the colour and mono sections in your category but remember, that if any print has scored highly commended or better, then it can’t be used again until the finals night competition.

The committee is looking for a team of helpers to make the tea, do the washing up or put up prints on Friday nights. If you would like to do any or all of these tasks then please add your name to the list in the club room.

The club’s AGM will be on 6 July. If you have ideas for the club then think about joining the committee. Again there is a list in the club room where you can add your name.

Peter Jones from the Photo Space in Ludlow and Clare Carter from Carterart  running a 1 day workshop at Stokesay Court on Monday 21 May http://www.thephotospace.co.uk/en/page_15832.html where you will have the opportunity to photograph trees and early flowers.

Finally, the Club will have a stall at the Wellington Midsummer Fayre on Saturday 9 June https://wellingtonsoup.org/events/wellington-midsummer-fayre/ in All Saints Churchyard, Wellington. This is an opportunity for the club to display and sell some great images and try to recruit new members. If you have prints you would like to sell please let Tony have them by 1 June. There will be a small commission payable to the club for each print sold. We’re also looking for help to erect and dismantle the stall and to talk to the public during the day.
