Simon says .. “I am based in the South West area and whilst I enjoy a number of different aspects of photography with varying degrees of success, my passion is the Northern Lights and it has become an addiction.

My presentation "Chasing the Lights" gives an insight into this natural phenomenon, with images, personal anecdotes and advice on photographic techniques to capture them, based on the knowledge I have developed over the years whilst pursuing this passion.

Photography, is very much a hobby for me, with the Lights being one of those things that was on my bucket list, and a few years ago I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to see them. This ignited a passion for them and I enjoy sharing my experiences (failures and successes) with others, so that they can appreciate the magic of this natural phenomenon.

Having moved within the past year from Surrey, I am an "out of town" member of Epsom Camera Club, with my home Club now being Tavistock Camera Club and I am a judge for the WCPF.

I have a hope to be able to capture the Northern Lights from Dartmoor, it is possible, but so many things have to be right!”
