'Wellies required-coastal photography' an online talk with Alison Taylor ARPS

  • Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Prince's Street Wellington, , TF1 1JG United Kingdom (map)

Allison says “I retired from teaching and University administration over 5 years ago and am now a keen seascape/landscape photographer. I spend most of my time wading in the sea and exploring the North East Coast. “

“After gaining the LRPS the past two years have seen me working towards my ARPS on the theme of the lonely sea and the sky and most of the photographs in my coastal presentations have been taken with this in mind.  I was thrilled to become an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society last October.”

“My favourite locations are on the North East coast between Northumberland and Bridlington although I also love visiting the Outer Hebrides once a year.  I like to look for shapes formed on the shoreline by the sea and the sand and I am fascinated by waves. They are relentless but also every one of them is unique.  Using different camera techniques it is possible to capture every mood of the sea in a way that often isn’t visible to the naked eye.  That is what makes coastal photography so addictive.”

Alison comes to us from Yorkshire.
