Stan says “I have been a photographer for almost as long as I can remember, having saved my pocket money for my first camera at the age of 8 or 9.
Over the years since I have applied my photographic skills to my professional work in teaching and university administration. Although my original degrees are in Biological Sciences, my Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Technology includes Print Design. I have also studied Art History at undergraduate level.
Nowadays I describe myself as a a creative digital photographer. I am a member of the Royal Photographic Society and have been awarded a Fellowship (FRPS), the Society's highest honour. I enjoy applying my interest in modern art to my photographic work. I also greatly enjoy using Photoshop creatively to make new digital art, especially still-life work with layers of texture.
My presentatation is titled Photo Art - This is A Zoom talk that starts with the work in my latest exhibition, "PhotoArt", which ran from July to October 2019, and then moves on to more recent work produced during the Coronavirus lockdown, and right up to the present. This talk is being continuously updated as new work is produced.”
