This Friday, Dave Tucker EFIAP/p, DPAGB, CPAGB, BPE3* https://davetucker.wixsite.com/tuckerpics judges the 2nd Merit Print Competition.

On Friday 28 March, Judy Mainwaring BPE2* from Shropshire Photographic Society https://www.shropshire-photographic.org.uk/ImageLibrary/ShowGallery/68 presents her talk “People” where Judy will give us some insights and guidance on taking successful images of people. She will show us different styles of this genre including street, candid, studio and portraiture.

Friday 28 March is also the hand in night for the Landscape Competition (PDI images only) and the Nature competition (Print images only) You can enter up to 3 images in each competition but there is no separate intermediate or advanced group. All images must be new and not have been entered in any previous competition. On 4 April, Mike Taylor will judge the Landscape and Nature competitions. It’s also the hand in night for the Mobile Competition! Images only from a mobile phone or tablet.

MidPhot 2025 Exhibition starts tomorrow, 19 March,  and runs until 23 March at Smethwick Photographic Society’s Room. You will be able to see over 500 prints on display. Finally, the club is entering MCPF 2025 Print and PDI Championships at Braunstone Civic Centre LE3 2PP on Saturday 5 April https://mcpf.co.uk/2025-print-and-pdi-championships The 2 highest placed clubs in each championship will represent the Federation at the 2025 PAGB  Inter Club Print and PDI Championships. If you recall,  Wrekin Arts represented the Federation in both competitions last year. Tickets are £10 each and can be purchased through the MCPF link at the start of this paragraph. Norman, Calvin and Tony would love to have some support for their hard work preparing the club entry!
