The Belfrey Arts Centre Summer Fair starts at midday on Saturday 22 June so at our club night on Friday 21 June we will be preparing the room for the event. Please bring some prints to display.

Irene’s Funeral will take place at Telford Crematorium TF2 9NJ on Monday 24 June at 1130am and afterwards at Hadley Park House Hotel TF1 6AF. Irene’s sister and brother in law invite all club members to attend. I’ve offered to co-ordinate the club’s response so please let me know by email by 15 June if you would like to attend. Likewise, if you’re unable to attend on the day and would like to follow the service online let me have your name and email address. The family have set up a page where you can donate https://irenefroy.muchloved.com to Macmillan Cancer Support.

On Friday 28 June, Colin Trowe-Poole FRPS, FIPF, MPAGB https://www.colintrowpoole.com will present a Mono and Infrared print talk. Colin says, “ As an avid monochrome worker I enjoy the simplicity that the black and white image affords. I believe that by removing colour, the focus is shifted, distractions are minimised and viewers impressions are altered. My goal, wherever possible, is to create drama, mood and narrative power.”

Comic Con Midlands https://www.comicconventionmidlands.co.uk will be at Telford International Centre this weekend, 15 & 16 June. I’m sure you’ll see some of the participants in Southwater between the exhibition centre and Telford Centre if you don’t want to spend all day at the event.

The Steam Punk Weekend https://www.ironbridge.org.uk/events/family-events/steampunk-weekend/ returns to Blists Hill on 29 and 30 June

The club was given  photographic equipment by a lady from Oakengates  a few weeks ago. The sale raised £100 and that money was donated to Prostate Cancer UK. Thanks to all those who bought equipment.

If you won a trophy during last year’s competitions can you please bring it back as soon as possible so the names of this year’s winners can be added.

Finally, for over 10 years the Wellington Methodist Church Art Group https://wellingtonmethodist.org.uk/community/art-group/  has organised an exhibition for Art Group members and local artists to exhibit their work. This year’s exhibition will be held on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th July. The exhibition is open to all artists, including Photographers local to Telford. if you’re interested in exhibiting work please call Barbara Murray for more information and an Entry Form on 07592 881108 (last date for entry forms to be submitted – 28th June, artwork to be delivered to the Church 18th July).
