Happy New Year!

This Friday, Paul Keene FRPS, MPAGB, EFIAP/d, MFIAP presents an AV of some of his work titled “From Here to Eternity” Paul is a FIAP Double Diamond and I’m sure we will be in for an exciting night.

On Friday 12 January, Brian Swinyard MA, ARPS, DPAGB, EFIAP//b, PPPSA from Cheltenham http://www.brianswinyardphotography.com presents “Personal Identity” when Brian talks about his transition from Camera Club to a Master of Arts Photographer.

Smethwick International Exhibition will be at their clubroom in Oldbury from 6 to 14 January when all the accepted prints and projected digital images will be shown. Jon and Sue Baker will have an exhibition of their landscape prints at Smethwick http://www.smethwickps.co.uk/find-us/4591953323  from 19 to 31 January entitled “Not All Who Wander Are Lost.” This is an exhibition well worth seeing.

Finally, Midphot, the exhibition of Midland Photography is now open for entries http://www.mcpf.co.uk/midphot/  This year it has an online entry system and all members should use this to enter and upload images. The club will continue to send prints in bulk so please ensure that you bring them to the club room on 2 February. Please make sure that you are familiar with the rules and conditions as there are important changes to the Nature Sections. To enter click on the link immediately above the image of the young lady that starts “New online entry system Midphot” and you will see the Photo Comp Entry system similar to the one we use for our internal competitions.
