Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 15 2016/17 21 March 2017

This Friday we welcome back Mark Sisson http://www.marksissonphoto.co.uk , professional Wildlife and Nature Photographer from Newport, Shropshire to present his latest lecture “From Alaska to Argentina.” Like Laurie Campbell last week, Mark writes in magazines and has published several books. No doubt he will have some for sale on Friday .

In the Learner Hour , Calvin will lead a critique for Prints and PDIs so if you’re coming along bring your images and get some expert help and hints.

Next Friday, 31 March, we welcome Anne Sutcliffe http://www.annesutcliffe.com/home (sponsored by Fotospeed) for “An Evening with Anne Sutcliffe” when she will show a wide selection of her prints.

Friday 31 March is also the hand in night for the Landscape Photography competition. Members can enter up to 3 images in both the print and PDI sections of the competition. Work must not have been entered into any previous club competition. Midphot Exhibition starts on Wednesday 22 March at Smethwick Photographic Society’s Building at 7.30pm with the presentation of awards followed by a showing of the general and nature accepted images. Irene has just 3 places available for her next workshop “Photoshop my Way” to take place at the club room on Sunday 3 July from 1030am to 4pm. Tuition will include colour correction layers, airbrushing, white layers and blur techniques and notes will be provided. Cost is £25 including tea and coffee but bring a packed lunch.
