Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 5 2015/16 13 October 2015

This Friday, John Haines from Great Barr Photographic Society will judge the first merit print competition. Before that, starting at 6.45pm, Peter Rees will lead a critique evening for prints when he will give an assessment of your work from the point of view of a competition/exhibition judge. This will be an interactive session and Peter will bring some of his prints for general discussion.

On Friday 23 October Barry Mead, FRPS, MPAGB, EFIAP/p, APAGBhttp://www.barrymead-photography.com/ from Bristol Photographic Society will show us his latest wildlife and creative photography. Barry has extensive knowledge both of darkroom techniques and digital work and I'm sure we will have an exciting and instructive evening.

I will be ordering mount board http://www.paperspectrum.co.uk/mounting-products-20-c.asp and paper http://www.paperspectrum.co.uk/pinnacle-photo-paper-15-c.asp from Paper Spectrum early next week and will bring an order form and Mount Board samples on Friday. Tony has kindly offered his Lecturer’s discount of 10% on orders.

And finally, please be careful with your drinks during the interval. Cups were put down on the tables used for both the laptop and projector last week. It only takes one knock to spill drink on the equipment which would be very expensive to replace!
