Wrekin Arts Photographic Club Newsletter 4 2018/19

This Friday, John Haines will judge the first Merit PDI competition. Friday 12 October is also the hand in night for the Mobile Image Competition for images taken either with a phone or tablet. Please submit your entries online to the usual site http://www.photocompentries.net/?org=WrekinClub . This competition is now in its’ 3rd year. Geoff was the winner of the first 2 competitions. Will he make it 3 in a row?

Calvin will lead the Learner Hour at 6.45pm

On Friday 19 October club members will judge the Mobile image competition.

The MCPF Seminar is on Saturday 20 October at The Old Schoolhouse, Churchbridge, Oldbury B69 2AS from 1030 to 1630 with lectures by Leigh Preston FRPS, Nathaniel Coalson ARPS, ASICIP and Joan Blease ARPS, MPAGB, EFIAP/b, ABPE. Finally, there’s an alteration to the printed programme for 2 events in November. Jon and Sue and Calvin have swapped the dates they speak. Calvin will present “East to West and In-between” on 16 November whilst Jon and Sue present “Not All Who Wander are Lost” on 23 November. Please make a note in your diary.

Meeting Cancellation 2 March 2018

There’s heavy snow forecast overnight and into tomorrow and we’ve taken the decision to cancel tomorrow night’s meeting (2 March) which is the third merit PDI competition.

This competition will be rearranged and I’ll let you know the new date as soon as we can agree it with the judge.
